View Full Version : Ray Gets Left at the Starting Gate in the FXCM Automated Trading Challenge

Ray the Random Robotâ„¢ turned up in plenty of time for the start of the FXCM Strategy Trader 2010 Automated Trading Challenge late last night. Unfortunately he then got terribly confused about how much pretend money he would be allowed to play with. He's still spinning round in circles as we speak, and we haven't managed to get him to the starting gate as yet.

His confusion about the precise rules (http://forexforums.dailyfx.com/developing-strategy-advisors/268170-ray-random-robot-needs-urgent-assistance.html#post627836) of the competition seems also to have upset the delicate balance of his highly tuned electronic brain, and back in the paddock he is still trying to flick a host of irritating bugs off his back. In fact now that I come to think of it, since he hasn't got a tail, that is almost certainly the explanation for his rapid rotation.

In Ray's continuing absence a trio of Italian Stallions are showing impressive form at the front of the field:

Unlike poor Ray, they seem pretty certain that they started with $10,000 in their micro accounts.

Unfortunately Ray never managed to start the 2010 Automated Trading Challenge at all. As you must have realised by now, Ray isn't the brightest thing on two legs. After wasting lots of time trying to successfully communicate his take profit and stop loss orders to FXCM's servers he gave up in frustration. He has asked to be notified about the 2011 challenge, but has received no news from FXCM as yet.
