Help with strategy tester

Hi all,

Please could someone point me in the right direction for using the strategy tester on mt4. It looks like it is really simple to do, yet when I try it on an ea I have all I get is either nothing at all, or a load of mismatched errors. I am sure I am just doing something really daft here, but any pointers would me most appreciated.

Hello Shaun,

Welcome to the Trading Gurus community! If you're not too shy, please wander over to the Introductions section at some point, where you will be able introduce yourself properly.

The first thing we need to do is get ourselves all on the same page. Did you download the EA from here? That would make things easier to start with. Failing that can you upload the one you're trying to test here?

Next, which broker's MT4 demo are you using, and what timeframe? If you're getting "mismatch errors" sounds like you're not on one minute bars?

Finally a picture often really does paint a thousand words. Is it possible for you to illustrate what seems to be going wrong?
